A family member gave me an article she found in a magazine over the weekend called “Tea Time”. I actually learned a significant amount and had questions answered I didn’t even know I had.

P.S. The first person to email me interested, I will send this article to them! Might as well share, right?

Anyway, Since I am naturally American and do everything the easy way; aka I don’t own a tea pot or thermometer and buy my tea packets already pre-made out. <– Although this article touches on all of that and it is fascinating! I decided to focus primarily on the flavors.

TeaBlack Tea: Bold flavor and can have hints of malted barley, muscatel (musky or spicy) or even wine.

Green Tea: My personal “go-to”, although a fun fact on this article was that it stated the only health benefit actually proven by the FDA is that it is great as a topical skin treatment. Flavors of green tea include grassy or vegetal.

Herbal Tea: Another fun fact, herbal teas are not technically “tea”. RIGHT? Herbal teas are made of the plant they are based off of (for example, Peppermint tea is made from peppermints). All other teas are made from the same plant, Camellia Sinensis. Herbal teas are described as earthy and high energy teas.

Oolong Tea: Floral and fruity

White Tea: Earthy and sweet, least amount of flavor compared to other teas.

Talk soon! xoxo
